NAMIWalks Minnesota is set for Sept. 26 at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis and the Community & Technical College field house in Rochester. Registration starts at 11:30, the Walk begins at 1:00. So far there are over 1,350 walkers registered, 140 Walk teams and $188,000 raised! More than 4,000 walkers are expected to join in this year's NAMIWalks. Despite a persistent rain, nearly 3,000 walkers joined in the 7th annual NAMIWalks Minnesota held at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis on Saturday, Sept. 28. The 5K walk to increase public awareness of mental illnesses and support NAMI's programs of education, support and advocacy raised more than $341,000! NAMIWalks was also held at the Community & Technical College in Rochester on the same day. Thanks to everyone for donating, joining in and celebrating hope together at NAMIWalks. See Photos. NAMIWalks Minnesota 2012 was a huge success thanks to our dedicated captains, walkers and donors, and because of our generous sponsors. Over $300,000 was raised!
The 2011 NAMIWalks Minnesota was spectacular! More than 3,200 participated and raised over $319,000! St. Cloud Area NAMI also held NAMIWalks on Sept. 24, drawing 300 people and raising nearly $15,000.
