Family Support Group Facilitator Training

NAMI Minnesota's training for family support group facilitators has been changed to Mar. 19-20. Family-to-Family peer-based, mutual support groups are for people who have a loved one living with mental illness. The groups provide a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement and hope.  Facilitators are not counselors or teachers; rather, they give the group structure by opening and closing each support group session and help guide the discussion. They also shift the discussion when necessary.
