NAMI Minnesota can help answer questions on navigating the mental health system. NAMI also offers many support groups for families and persons with mental illness.
Family Support Groups offer family and friends of people with mental illness an opportunity to meet with others who share their concerns, to compare experiences and to learn from each other.
Parent Resource Groups help parents discover resources to meet the challenges of raising a child with mental illness, learn coping skills and develop problem solving skills.
NAMI Connection, NAMI-CARE, and
Open Door Groups offer support to individuals recovering from mental illness.
Vet Connection Groups are being formed for returning vets to help cope with reintegration issues.
Most NAMI affiliate groups provide monthly education and support meetings for both individuals and families. Find a
