NAMI Minnesota staff and volunteers can help answer questions on navigating the mental health system. NAMI also offers many support groups for families and persons with mental illness.
Family Support Groups offer family and friends of people with mental illness an opportunity to meet with others who share their concerns, to compare experiences and to learn from each other.
NAMI Connection, NAMI-CARE, and
Open Door groups offer support to individuals recovering from mental illness.
Vet Connection groups are being formed for returning vets to help cope with reintegration issues.
Most local affiliates provide educational and supportive meetings on a monthly basis for both consumers and families. Check out your
local affiliate for the group nearest you.
