Family-to-Family Support Groups

Family-to-Family support groups provide ongoing support for families and friends of persons with mental illness. Support groups are scheduled for the following locations and times. Please call the contact person listed for more information.

Brooklyn Center
7:00 p.m., meets the first Thursday of the month at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd (at Nobel). Contact Bob at 763-533-1729.

Cambridge

Duluth

Maple Grove, Daughters & Sons Support Group (first meeting is Jan. 24)
NAMI Minnesota is launching a new support group specifically for adults with a parent who lives or lived with a mental illness. The Daughters and Sons Support Group will meet at the Maple Grove Library, 8001 Main Street North, on Jan. 24, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. It will then meet on the third Tuesday of every month starting Feb. 21. Minneapolis
6:30-7:45 p.m., meets the first and third Friday of each month at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 50th and Knox Ave. So. Support groups for people living with a mental illness and for family members; for more information call Lee at 952-894-9109.

Minneapolis, Partners/Spouse Support Group (will meet on the 1st & 3rd Fridays starting Jan. 1, 2012 )
This group is for spouses, domestic partners, and people who share child-rearing responsibilities with a person who has mental illness. It is held on the 1st Friday of the month, from 6:30-7:55 p.m., at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 50th and Knox Ave. S., Room 394, in Minneapolis. Owatonna
