NAMI offers a variety of part-time, unpaid internships during the fall, spring, and summer terms for individuals wishing to gain hands-on experience in the fields of non-profit administration or public policy. Join us in eliminating the stigma surrounding mental illnesses, effecting positive changes in the mental health system, and increasing the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses as a NAMI intern!
Internships at NAMI Minnesota last 3-4 months in duration, and average between 10 and 15 hours per week. Schedules are arranged between the direct program supervisor and internship candidate, and though start/end dates are generally flexible, interns are required to commit to a consistent weekly schedule for a minimum of 12 weeks.
To Apply: Please submit both the standard NAMI
Volunteer Application and the
Internship Addendum online. If you require hard-copy application materials or have further questions, please contact us at 651-648-2948 x110 or email volunteer.resources@namimn.org.
